One Week Marketing – Review

One Week Marketing by PotPieGirl is really popular amongst beginners. In fact it has been a very good seller for a long time now. Being a good seller doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s good though!

So what is one week marketing, a video course? A forum?  Or an eBook? It’s actually just an eBook which disappointed me a bit because PotPieGirl has actually made quite a lot of helpful videos that she’s given away free so I was surprised to find out this is just written content.

There are two books included in the package, “A Conversation With Nick” in which PotPieGirl coaches a newbie marketer through a series of emails and “One Week Marketing Guide” which is just a standard guide. They are both well written and easy to read. The fundamental problem however is that One Week Marketing  is all about marketing using Squidoo.com.

Pretty soon after PotPieGirl launched One Week Marketing, Squidoo took a bit of a nose dive in the rankings. Because so many marketers and spammers abused Squidoo by using scripts to setup thousands and thousands of spammy pages, Google took a dim view on this which had a twofold effect.

The first effect this had was a loss in rankings for Squidoo. When One Week Marketing was written, you could put up a lense with the right keywords and it would more often than not get onto the first page of Google with little to no effort. Now though, Google doesn’t really consider Squidoo as an authority site which means you rarely see it on the first page of Google.

The second effect was that Squidoo had a big clean up and locked thousands and thousands of lenses without any warning, meaning that a lot of people lost their landing pages and income without any warning.

Squidoo.com is still ok to use for a landing page if you don’t have the ability to make your own website, but to base a whole info product about teaching people how to setup a whole business using Squidoo is just crazy in my opinion.

This hasn’t stopped One Week Marketing from being a big seller though! Even though it really stopped being relevant within a couple of weeks of being realeased! (Probably down to the well writen sales page and screen shots of ClickBank income **Warning **Warning **Alarm bells ringing)!!

You also get some free mind maps and an action plan with One Week Marketing but that doesn’t justify the price of $77! I find it hard to believe anybody would pay that and not take up the offer of the 60 day money back guarantee!

When you consider that the 4 Day Money Making Blueprint is only $29 and includes hours and hours of audio and video, it surprises me that anyone would have bought One Week Marketing in the first place!!

Conclusion

Save your money and get the 4 Day Money Making Blueprint, it’s less than half the price, contains 10 times more information and most importantly, it works! Give One Week Marketing a miss, but if you still think it might work for you (perhaps you have a time machine so that you can go back to a time when Squidoo.com actually ranked in Google) then there’s a link below!
